Torsion Spring

Torsion springs are mounted on a pole above the garage door and are an essential part of lifting the door. The torsion spring tightens when the door is closed and unwinds on opening.

Double doors require a left and right torsion spring, while some single and all single caravan doors require only one (left or right). 

Selecting your springs: 

1) Know how much your door weighs. If you have an 80kg door, you need 80kg torsion springs (80kg left and 80kg right for double doors).

2) Know the opening size of your garage: A standard garage door is 2130mm high, while a caravan door ranges from 2300mm – 2700mm high.  

3) Select your door size, weight, and side using the drop-down menu. Remember, double doors need both left and right springs.
