Pine jambs are the wooden framework mounted on the side and the top of the garage door opening. Pine jambs are mainly used with wooden garage doors to help the tracks and the tension and torsion systems attached to the framework to ensure that all structures are adequately secured. Pine jambs also prevent your door from scratching on the top of the lintel if the headroom is not plastered evenly.
